Despite the challenging conditions of martial law under which Ukraine has been for almost a year, active production of new mobile cranes continues at the Modus workshops. This winter, they faced a particularly complex task with several “unknowns” at the outset:

  1. For the first time, the base used was an IVECO Trakker truck chassis. As is often the case, there were difficulties in modifying the chassis to install the Palfinger Sany SPC320 crane superstructure.
  2. Considerable effort was required to “integrate” the electronics of the base chassis with the crane unit itself; in other words, ensuring compatibility between the electronic systems of the superstructure and the truck was not an easy task.

Currently, all difficulties have been overcome. The 32-ton Palfinger Sany SPC320 crane has passed all necessary tests, been certified, and shipped to customers. The owners will use the new mobile crane for constructing protective structures along the northern border with our unfriendly neighbor.
