A large batch of flatbed platforms with FASSI truck-mounted cranes has been manufactured in Ukraine

One of the leading and largest enterprises of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure received 23 new open flatbed platforms based on the MAN TGM 18.250 4×4 chassis. Behind each flatbed platform, a powerful Italian FASSI crane-manipulator with a lifting capacity of 5.4 tons has been installed.

23 new all-wheel-drive flatbed trucks have been manufactured for a major critical infrastructure company in Ukraine — this is currently one of the largest deliveries of flatbed vehicles produced this year in Ukraine for a single buyer. The base vehicles used for the open platform installation are all-wheel-drive MAN TGM 18.250 4×4 trucks.

Main technical characteristics and capabilities of the flatbed trucks produced at UMZ MODUS:

  • The flatbed platform has a length of 6000 mm and a side height of 800 mm.
  • The side panels are made of aluminum, consist of two sections, and have quick-release posts.
  • At the rear of the vehicle, behind the body, an Italian Fassi F115 A Light Weight series knuckle boom crane is installed. The F115 A.0.22 modification is rated for a maximum lifting capacity of 5400 kg at the minimum boom reach. The crane is equipped with a remote control radio panel and rotating outriggers — in the transport position, this preserves the vehicle’s ground clearance. More technical specifications of this crane-manipulator unit can be found here.

One of these flatbed platforms was showcased a few weeks earlier at the annual Kyiv exhibition KommunTech.
