A landmark event for the global construction machinery market, the international exhibition BAUMA 2019, just concluded in the first half of April. Over the next three years, global brands producing various types of construction machinery will be preparing new developments to showcase at the next BAUMA exhibition in 2022. While manufacturing plants have reason to breathe a sigh of relief after the successful completion of the most important trade fair, for construction equipment dealers, the real work is only beginning. Dealers of leading brands producing truck cranes, knuckle boom cranes, truck-mounted aerial platforms, trailer equipment, concrete mixers, concrete pumps, excavators, and other industry-specific machinery will need to work intensively — presenting and selling the innovations showcased at BAUMA 2019 to potential clients worldwide.
Palfinger Sany Gives the “Green Light”
The delegation of the Ukrainian company MPP «Modus» spent a full working week at BAUMA, and every day at the Munich exhibition center Messe München was emotionally intense and packed with crucial meetings and negotiations with both existing suppliers and potential partners.
One of the most significant meetings, lasting over four hours, was the cordial session of MPP «Modus» specialists at the exhibition stand of the Chinese corporation SANY Group, specifically its Austrian-Chinese subsidiary Palfinger Sany. Representatives of Palfinger Sany crane manufacturing confirmed MPP «Modus» as an official dealer of the brand in Ukraine. However, our team still needs to prove this honorary status, as they say, in practice: MPP «Modus» received an invitation for the company’s technical specialists to directly participate in the development of upgraded cranes for the Ukrainian market.
Soon, MPP «Modus» will present new truck crane models in Ukraine, both on special chassis and on the chassis of leading global manufacturers. The Palfinger Sany model range is highly needed in the Ukrainian construction sector: modern Ukrainian buyers are tired of settling for existing models capable of lifting only 40–50 t, while Palfinger Sany is ready to handle loads of up to 600 t!
How Did Our Specialists Impress the Chinese and Austrians?
The factory representatives organized a real, albeit somewhat improvised, exam at the exhibition for the MPP «Modus» specialists to test their knowledge of the global and, in particular, Ukrainian crane equipment market. Our experts, who have been working in Ukraine with various crane installations for over 10 years, passed the test with flying colors, confirming their status as true truck crane specialists.
MPP «Modus» visited Palfinger Sany, as they say, not empty-handed. There was reason to be proud. From the beginning of the year until the Munich trip, the first sale of the short-base self-propelled crane Palfinger Sany SRC350 was completed in Ukraine. The new Palfinger Sany SRC350 crane on a crab drive, which you can purchase in Ukraine through MPP «Modus» sales, is designed for the most extreme conditions. Its capabilities are nearly limitless. It can lift loads up to 35 t to a height of 32 m, and move with a load of up to 10.9 t across rough terrain. Additionally, the Palfinger Sany SRC350 features full axle control, all-wheel drive, and its main feature — crab movement. Yes, like a crab, it can move sideways. New Palfinger Sany Models Presented at BAUMA 2019
At BAUMA 2019, the new truck crane Palfinger Sany SRC900 was showcased. The description of this model can be found here. Similar machines are already operating in Ukraine and have received the highest customer ratings. The Palfinger Sany SRC900 is a 90-ton truck crane for heavy-duty road conditions. Maximum load moment — 288 tm. Lifting height — 47 m. This crane is available for order in Ukraine.

As indicated by the name and technical specifications, its lifting capacity is almost three times greater than the model currently operated by an MPP «Modus» client. If a 35-ton crane accelerated construction so significantly, a 90-ton model can reduce construction timelines to just a few days.
